How to Roleplay!
Roleplaying is pretty simple, its basicly when you make up a character in a roleplay based on a fictional story. You then act out your character.
Its pretty simple when you get the hang of it.
Heres some simple tips to get you started!
1) Roleplaying actions.
When your doing an action for your character, just make sure theres three words for the action, and it has * or - on either side. Otherwise its 'Void' (meaning it doesnt count)
Example;
-picking up the letter-
-reading it through-
2) IC and OOC
IC is in character, meaning its being said or done in the story.
OOC is Out of Character, meaning its being said or done as yourself. so not in roleplay
If someone said or does somthing and puts [] at the end, it means their talking OOC
Saying ic normally means that the person is going back to being ic
Example;
Person one; Hey professor whats up.
Person two; Hello mr walter
Person one; Lol it feels weird being called mr walter by you []
Person two; LOL i know, its weird. []
Person one; `ic
3) VOID!
This is a term used often, it basicly means voidable, which means that it doesnt count, if you do an action wrong or spell a spell wrong, it is void.
Thats all the basics you need! Need more tips for RPing, look around this section of forums, or watch others rping. Its fun when you get used to it! :]
