Arithmancy Homework
The simplest form of Arithmancy, and the one that we are going to be taking our studies from, uses a basic table of numbers and letters as a starting point. Below Is The Table Which Will Help You Figure Out The Answers Below: I Have Also Given An Example On Remus Lupin.
1 = AJS 2=BKT 3= CLU 4=DMV 5=ENW 6=FOX 7=GPY 8=HQZ 9=IR
You then use this system in order to work out which numbers are used in relation to a name. For example:
R E M U S L U P I N
9 5 4 3 1 3 3 7 9 5
Next, you make the number smaller by adding each digit together:
9 + 5 + 4 + 3 + 1 + 3 + 3 + 7 + 9 + 5 = 49
Then you have to reduce it further until you are left with only one digit. In order to do this, you must add the two existing digits together:
4 + 9 = 13
1 + 3 = 4
So Remus Lupin’s ‘Character Number’ is 4.
Next lesson we will be covering how to work out a persons ‘Heart Number’ and ‘Social Number’ as well as seeing just what each of these numbers mean. After that, we will discover how to work out compatibility within the Wizarding world.
For you homework, I would like you to work out the ‘Character Number’s’ of these famous wizards/witches:
1) Harry Potter
2) Albus Dumbledore
3) Severus Snape
4) Lucius Malfoy
5) Rita Skeeter
6) Viktor Krum
7) Alice Longbottom
8] Ronald Weasley
9) Hermione Granger
10) Sirius Black
Due Next Lesson [Probably After Prom]
